-When/Where: 4.28 Holocene | 4.29 Doug Fir | 4.30 Mississippi Studios
-How Much: $5
-Why: 20+ sold out shows during their current spring tour; it’s pretty amazing that we can welcome these boys home with 3 more sold out shows! Reptilians, the band’s first full-length release with Polyvinyl Records, features songs focused on dying and mortality. But with a life-affirming and positive sound, you’ll surely be dancing and bobbing your head to explosive drum beats and layered synth melodies.
Holocene will have 100 tickets available at 9:30pm on the day of the show.

1. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart / Twin Shadow
-Where: Doug Fir
-How Much: $15
-When: Thursday, April 21st – 9pm
-Why: Fresh from Coachella and on the brink of a lengthy tour overseas, this NYC quartet visits Portland in support of their sophomore effort, Belong. Channeling their inner Siamese Dream-era Billy Corgan, the twee pop group gets their feet wet with Flood (the big-name producer, Mark Ellis). Gentle fuzzed-out distorted walls of sound? Count me in!
(((This Saturday is RECORD STORE DAY!)))
1. Das Racist w/ Holy Ghost (LIVE!), Reporter, Rude Dudes
-How Much: $15
-When: Tonight! Wednesday, April 13th – 8pm
-Why: An art rap trio based in Brooklyn, Das Racist is equal parts smart and funny. Dismissed as joke rap, yet simultaneously hailed as one of 2010’s best new bands, Das Racist definitely make you dance and just might make you think.
