1. Parquet Courts w/ Naomi Punk  & Blood Beach
Where: Doug Fir
How Much: $12
When: Wednesday, June 12th – 9:00pm
Why: Although formed in 2010, this Brooklyn quartet has created a buzz-building frenzy over the last year. Along for the ride is Olympia/Seattle’s Naomi Punk with noisy guitars and crashing cymbals, and Portland’s own Blood Beach making their first 2013 appearance on stage.

2. PDX Pop Now! Compilation Release Party 2013
Where: Backspace
How Much: $5 – $8
When: Friday, June 14th – 8pm
Why: Oh boy, is it that lovely time of year again already?! When: Saturday, June 15th – 9pm
Why: Somewhere between hazy and hypnotic, UK Electronic Duo Mount Kimbie are one of those groups that you see live accidentally and then immediately wonder how you’re just now hearing about them for the first time. The fly-under-the-radar-types are breaking those confines and carry a thicker, dancier sound from their new album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth into the cozy downstairs lounge of the ‘Fir. They also bring the opportunity to catch UK tourmates, the up-and-comer Holy Other.

4. Burnt Ones w/ BOOM! & Jollapin Jasper

Rounding out the bill are the infectious BOOM! and Jollapin Jasper. Get there early and get ready to dance your face off!
