1. Sex Church w/ Therapists & Still Caves
Where: The Vern

When: Friday, March 29th – 6pm
Why: Hailing from Vancouver, BC, Sex Church takes the doom and gloom of bands like The Wipers and The Cheater Slicks and mixes it up with the quartet’s brand of garage rock. Toss in some Krautrock and shoegaze and you’ve got one band you don’t want to miss! Still Caves kick it off around 6:30pm. Be there.

2. Fuzz w/ Wooden Indian Burial Ground
Where: Bunk Bar
How Much: $8/$10
When: Saturday, March 30th – 9pm
Why: The restless Ty Segall is back with his new band, Fuzz! Teaming up with longtime friend and bandmate Charlie Moothart, the pair already have already blown through a second pressing of their first 7″. Take Ty Segall and add a big dose of Black Sabbath–presto chango, you’ve got Fuzz! There’s a damn good chance you won’t get in without purchasing tickets in advance–you’ve been warned!

3. Natural Child w/ White Fang & Mean Jeans
Where: Tonic Lounge
How Much: $5
When: Sunday, March 31st – 9pm
Why: Easter Schmeaster! Gnar Tapes presents: Gnar Gnight Out! Featuring Nashville’s finest bluesy, scuzzy rock ‘n’ roll band, Natural Child! That’s not all, kids–White Fang and Mean Jeans will get your panties in a bunch before Natural Child finishes the job. The best $5 you’ll spend all week.

What’s Going On: 09/19 – 09/23

1. Ringo Deathstarr w/ Sundaze, WL & Industrial Park
Where: Slabtown
How Much: $8
When: Thursday, September 20th – 9pm
Why: The psychy shoegaze Austin three-piece have just leaked Mauve, the follow up to 2011′s Colour Trip, which is due out next week. Check out the openers: shoegazey dream-pop Sundaze, WL, and post-punk rockers Industrial Park – you won’t to miss any part of this super solid line-up.

1a. Onuinu w/ Shy Girls & Magic Fades
Where: Holocene
How Much: Free
When: Thursday, September 20th – 8:30pm
Why: The highly anticipated debut release, Mirror Gazer,  from Portland’s own Onuinu has finally arrived! If you plan on staying on the East side of the river, plan on kicking it at Holocene. Shy Girls and Magic Fades are opening, as well as DJ Bobby Dangerous and DJ Zack. Go get ya some Onuinu!

2. The Raveonettes w/ Melody’s Echo Chamber
Where: Hawthorne Theatre
How Much: $16/$18
When: Friday, September 21st – 8pm
Why: Danish duo, The Raveonettes, are touring in support of their sixth studio album released just last week. Come check out the sweet sounds of Observator and dance the night away to your favorites off Lust Lust Lust and Raven in the Grave. Joining them is French songstress Melody Prochet and her dream-pop project, Melody’s Echo Chamber.

3. The Bugs w/ The Woolen Men, Sad Horse & Needles and Pizza
Where: Tonic Lounge
How Much: $4
When: Sunday, September 23rd – 8:30pm
Why: Four bands for $4! It’s a heck of a deal if you ask me. It’s the debut show of Needles and Pizza, a minimal garage-wave duo featuring ex-members of Cat Fancy and current members of K-Tel ’79. You might want to grab a nap so you can stay up all night and party down with Sad Horse, The Woolen Men, and The Bugs!

What’s Going On: 01/04 – 01/11

1.  Hairspray Blues w/ Shut Your Animal Mouth
Where:  Ash St. Saloon
How Much:  $5
When:  Thursday, January 5th—9:30pm
Why:  Kyle and Leslie Stabile make up the grimy broken blues duo with a heavy metal edge. With his scorching riffs and her animalistic drumming, the pair definitely takes their music outside the box and gives it one heck of a kick. They play first, so get your butt there on time.

2.  Archeology w/ Tango Alpha Tango & Adam Shearer (Weinland)
Where:  Doug Fir
How Much:  $5
When:  Friday, January 6th—9pm
Why:  Bacardi presents the Back To Basics series—a mere five bucks at the door gets you a night filled with lush arrangements and spot-on harmonies with local indie folk acts Archeology and Tango Alpha Tango. Opening the evening is Adam Shearer of PDX’s supergroup, Weinland.

3.  Fundraiser for Ethos Music Center & My Voice Music w/ performances by Fruit of the Legion of Loom, K-Tel ’70, Bombs Away! and DJ HWY 7
Where:  Tonic Lounge
How Much:  Bring your wallets—it’s for the kids!
When:  Sunday, January 8th—7pm
Why:  Fancy cocktail party starts promptly at 7pm with DJ HWY 7 spinning tunes and a silent auction throughout the evening (art, music, massages, etc) with proceeds benefitting these two amazing organizations. 1. Mean Jeans Mini Tour Kick Off! w/ Terraform & Blood Beach

When: Friday, June 24 – 9:30pm
Why: In the past several months Tonic Lounge has been playing host to countless good shows and this one is going to rock your socks off.  It’s always a good time with the too cool for school punks, the Mean Jeans.
