Finn Riggins, Apex Manor, World’s Greatest Ghosts @ Mississippi Studios 2/5/11
Portland’s own WGG opened up a mixed blend of shows featuring danciness, jiving and ergo-southern rock at the soon-to-be-too-popular Mississippi Studios. For Apex Manor and Idaho Trio Finn Riggins,
Plan on being in a good mood when World’s Greatest Ghosts bring the dance party. Whether rippin a tiny town barnburner or coastline groovin, I dare you to try and dislike this locally grown indie heyrock party.
Apex Manor laid down a rock-forth sway-back brand of Southern-influenced rock. They had the crowd groovin’ along and loosenin’ up.
Finn Riggins wiggled up the crowd with fun hit, “Wake,” and brought the experimental exuberance and jumping bean dance party effect that is to be expected from one of Tender Loving Empire‘s pilot bands (see: Finn Riggin’s Daytrotter).
