Sum 41’s Tour of the Setting Sum at the Moda Center, August 6th, 2024
On August 6th, the Moda Center’s Theater of the Clouds welcomed the one and only Sum 41, supporting their final album, Heaven :x: Hell, on what will be the band’s last hurrah: the Tour of the Setting Sum.
The wide age range in the audience was a testament to the group’s enduring appeal, with everyone coming together to revel in a night of punk-rock nostalgia. Sum 41’s set was nothing short of exhilarating, with pink confetti raining down and bursts of fire illuminating the stage, creating a visually stunning backdrop. Lead singer Deryck Whibley ignited the crowd with an infectious energy that had the audience singing along and jumping in unison, throwing their rock hand signs in the air as they sung along to their favorite anthems. The emotional impact of the show was palpable, with some concert-goers visibly moved to tears, overwhelmed by the chance to experience their favorite band live, for the last time. It was a bittersweet farewell, but Eleven was there to capture it all. Check out some of our favorite shots below:
