Single Premiere: Jared Mees – “Echo Chamber”

It’s been nearly 6 years since the world has seen a new album from the Portland indie rock stalwart Jared Mees. Sure, last year he put out a split single with Finn Riggins, but his previous release before that was 2011’s Only Good Thoughts Can Stay, with his band The Grown Children. Of course the sparsity is completely understandable as Mees is busy being a father and running (along with his wife Brianne) his record label and boutique store, Tender Loving Empire, but it’s about damn time we get some new ear worms from the charming indie pop/rock songwriter.

Just before the new year, Mees debuted a single “This is Your Year,” and now, ELEVEN is pleased to premiere a follow up, “Echo Chamber,” and announce the release of his forthcoming album, Life is Long, out 4/21 on TLE. Dig into the tune below, and in these current tumultuous times, hopefully we can all take away a little something from the song’s underlying theme.
