Alt-J @ Crystal Ballroom 12/2/2013
On Monday night, Alt-J played to a completely sold out house at the Crystal Ballroom. Their premiere record, An Awesome Wave, has struck a fancy with fans far outside their home in the UK. Moms, dads, and children of all ages were in attendance, and singing along to every word.
bands live performance is straight up and down with their recordings- there’s no jamming, riffing, or improvisation. That’s not to say they are low energy showmen- between the strobe lights, sheer volume, and perfection of their songs, they captured the attention of everyone in the room.
