1. LOOP w/ Kinski

When: Friday, May 16th – 9pm
Why: LOOP is a British band that had their heyday in the mid-late 80s. As we have seen in recent years, it is only fitting that they jump on the proverbial bandwagon to play some reunion shows. We can probably thank the folks at Austin Psych Fest for getting them to the States. Check out their amazing debut album, Heaven’s End, and then come rock out on Friday!
2. Ice Balloons w/ BABES, Still Caves & Grapefruit
Where: The High Water Mark
How Much: $7
When: Saturday, May 17th – 8pm
Why: To say that Ice Balloons (featuring Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio) will evoke the standard list of the five senses really doesn’t give the Brooklyn-based band justice. To paint a more accurate picture, the group will awaken all 20+ senses that neurologists have identified. If you’re looking for a show that might just literally blow your mind, this is the one.
3. Kenton Street Fair
Where: N. Denver Avenue between N. Schofield & N. Willis
How Much: Free!
When: Sunday, May 18th – 10am-6pm
Why: Roam around in the commercial district of Kenton to check out vendors of all shapes and sizes! Don’t forget to stop by the World Famous Kenton Club to hear some awesome Portland bands! Bubble Cats, Coma Serfs, Foxy Lemon, Havania Whaal, Oro Azoro, Dramady, Manx, and more. Plan out your day with the full schedule!
