070 Shake at the Wonder Ballroom, February 15th, 2025

070 Shake headlined the Wonder Ballroom here in Portland on February 15. Touring for her new album, Petrichor, released in November of 2024, 070 Shake, also known as Dani Moon, has been on the road since late January, with support from Johan Lennox and Bryant Barnes. Lennox also later played piano for Moon’s set.
The show opened with Moon’s silhouette behind a large curtain, creating suspense and building up anticipation in the audience. Moon established her ability to control the crowd from the jump, opening the show with “Sin” from the new album. Later, playing “Vagabond” off the new album, Moon explained her connection to feeling like she had never truly found a home, making her connection to the audience even stronger.
All alone on stage, with her band members behind the curtain, Moon was able to control the stage with her constant energy. Graphics projected on the curtain behind her added a visual dimension to the show as well. Moon ended up smoking a cigarette while on stage, essentially proving how effortless it is for her to perform. Filling up the Wonder Ballroom, Moon drew the audience in all night and left them wanting more in the end.
