1. Tapes ‘n Tapes w/ Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. and Themes

-Why: DEJRJR has been burning rubber around the states, sharing their dreamy, pop-folktronica melodies. How they do it? “God Only Knows“. Then turn it up a notch with Minneapolis neo-punkers Tapes ‘n Tapes supporting their new album Outside and you’re in for a night of fun. Dancing hi-tops mandatory.
2. SNACK ATTACK 2011: A Culinary Music Festival
-Where: Holocene
-How Much: $5
-When: Thursday, March 10th @ 8:30 PM
-Why: A smorgasbord of music, food and friends including Guidance Counselor, Forbidden Friends, Unkle Funkle (Chris Uehlein of White Fang,) Wampire, Operative, Ilyas Ahmed and DJ Snakks. Also, Snacks!!! (Also, a poutine eating contest sponsored by Potato Champion!)
3. Artistery Closing Week: Eternal Tapestry, Mt. Eerie, White Fang, O Paon, Pete Swanson
-Where: The Artistery
-How Much: $7 ($6 with canned food donation)
-When: Friday, March 11th @ 8 PM
-Why: Venue life continues to become more difficult for the under 21 crowd as we say a fond farewell to the artsy all-ages gallery after a developer gobbled up the property and gave curator Aaron Shepherd the boot. Check out shows (on the cheap) there all week long.
