Willie Watson brought his tour behind his solo debut, Folk Singer Vol. I, to the Doug Fir Lounge recently, and staff photographer Caitlin Webb was there to document the proceedings. Young upstart harp player Mikaela Davis opened the show and played an impressive solo set that featured a positively gorgeous cover of Elliot Smith’s “Twilight”, a choice that obviously went over well with the Portland crowd.
Watson also played a completely solo set that features highlights from both his debut record and his storied work with Old Crow Medicine Show and The Dave Rawlings Machine. Check out Caitlin’s gallery below.
