Listen to “Let It Happen”, Tame Impala’s First New Material Since 2012

Perth, Australia’s Tame Impala saw their excellent 2012 LP Lonerism propel the band to new levels of international stardom and made the band’s as-of-yet-untitled followup one of the most anticipated albums of 2015.  Yesterday Kevin Parker and company gave the word a taste of what they’ve been up to in the studio with a fantastic 8-minute slice of psych-funk entitled “Let It Happen”.  The blissed-out track is an incredibly enticing peak at the new record, as it has the unmistakable Tame Impala sound, but this time the band’s focus is aimed directly at the dance floor.
