Video Premiere: “Racktom Disaster” by RILLA

The burgeoning dance-pop punks RILLA have been steadily carving out their place in the Portland music scene for the last two years, releasing their debut EP I Am Not a Robot in the early spring. With this release, RILLA have cultivated a charming sense of silliness in their music and personas, and the rainbow of papier-mâché heads in their “Racktom Disaster” video is only further evidence of their bewitching goofiness.
Equal parts unsettling and lovable, this video follows the girls of RILLA in a wild hallucination through Portland, propelled forward by the song’s insistent guitar melody. You can trip out with RILLA in real life at their Project Pabst night show Aug. 27 at Kelly’s Olympian.»
