How Much: $13/$15
When: Thursday, October 25th – 8pm
Why: ELEVEN and Mike Thrasher team up for an evening for the books! A Dan Deacon show is like no other show, or even experience for that matter! He is an instigator, a music maker, and he’ll have you dancing and doing things you’ve never done before! Well, unless you’ve been to a Dan Deacon show, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.
2. Record Room’s 2nd Anniversary Show
Where: Record Room
How Much: Free
When: Saturday, October 27th 1pm-10pm
Why: To help celebrate their 2nd anniversary, Record Room has eleven bands for your listening pleasure as well as a delicious food cart (Home Plate Sliders) that will be serving up eats from 1pm-6pm. Music kicks off at 1pm as well with Scared Crow. Get there on time and stick around for a sweet line-up filled with local talents like: The Pynnacles, Old Wars, The Slidells, Charts, and A Happy Death.
3. Therapists w/ The Whines & Still Caves
Where: Club 21
How Much: Free
When: Sunday, October 28th – 9pm
Why: Therapists’ brand of primal punk rock and their adrenaline-fueled shows will most likely leave you with a couple bruises. The Whines, who had one of the best local album so of 2010 (Hell To Play), are back from a hiatus and if I were you I’d catch ’em while you can. Adding to the radness of the night, Still Caves will kick off the night with a fuzzed-out explosion of garage-punk.
